Design intention
The brief asked for more color — Farberware’s designs are usually restrained in color. Fresh Line was developed to make cooking with fresh vegetables more delightful.
FALL
Portable Tea Maker
Overview
FALL is a portable tea-brewing system designed to make the brewing process more intuitive, controlled, and visually engaging, while bringing a greater sense of ritual to making tea.
How to use
A sliding strainer lets the user stop brewing at any point without removing the leaves, while the transparent kettle makes the color and movement of the tea part of the experience.
Unexpected response
Originally developed as a personal concept, FALL was later circulated online and featured in a print magazine. I began receiving emails from people around the world asking, “Where can I buy it?”
Design intention
My goal was a tea maker that is intuitive, simple, and pragmatic. The brewing process becomes a visual ritual: the color of the tea shows its strength, and when it reaches the strength you like, you simply lift the strainer. The heating station keeps the tea hot without over-brewing.
